Have you ever stopped to think about which wrist you wear your bracelet on?
I wear mine on my left wrist. Not because of any deep spiritual meaning, but simply because I'm right-handed and need that hand to fasten the clasp!
But recently, I came across something interesting that made me think about my bracelet-wearing habits a little differently.
In some spiritual traditions, the left side is associated with receiving, while the right side is associated with giving.
And naturally, that got me thinking about jewelry, intention, and the little rituals we create in everyday life.
The Left Wrist: The Receiver
The left wrist is often associated with our inner world: intuition, emotions, and the things we're hoping to welcome into our lives.
Wearing a bracelet on your left wrist can become a symbolic reminder to be open to receiving.
Maybe you're hoping for a little more peace.
Maybe you're learning to trust yourself.
Or maybe you're simply reminding yourself that it's okay to receive the same kindness you so freely give to others.
The Right Wrist: The Giver
The right wrist is often associated with action, expression, and the energy we put out into the world.
Wearing a bracelet on your right wrist can symbolize taking an intention and putting it into practice.
Maybe it's finding the courage to try something new.
Speaking your truth.
Following your heart.
Or choosing to show up with a little more kindness.
So, Which Wrist Should You Choose?
Here's my favorite part.
There are no rules.
This is symbolism, not science. Your bracelet doesn't suddenly gain different powers depending on which wrist you wear it on.
But I do believe there's something meaningful about pausing for a moment and asking yourself:
What do I need today?
Am I hoping to welcome something into my life?
Or am I ready to put something out into the world?
And maybe tomorrow, your answer will be completely different.
A Little Intention Goes a Long Way
When I created my Follow Your bracelets, I wanted them to be simple reminders of the things that matter.
Follow Your Heart.
Follow Your Light.
Follow Your Bliss.
Follow Your Courage.
Little reminders that we can carry with us throughout the day.
And whether you wear your bracelet on your left wrist or your right, the intention is yours to choose.
Because sometimes the smallest rituals can remind us how we want to live.
Jewelry for the Practice of Life.
